About Us 

 

Operated by the Marcelonis family, CPM Stables has been providing a full range of equestrian boarding, training, and education to Newton and the surrounding towns since 1984.  Although Cheryl and Tony founded the farm, they are not the only family members who work on it.  Their daughter Stephanie contributes by training horses, organizing summer camps, and teaching riding and driving lessons.  After graduating with her B.A. in Psychology from UConn, Stephanie has cultivated a program that utilizes equine therapy to benefit special needs youth.

 

CPM Stables provides year-round instruction to all types of riders.  Their skilled instructors equip riders with not only the fundamentals but also the finer points of huntseat, saddleseat, western, and driving.  Situated on 40 acres of land, CPM Stables features several wooded trails, a large indoor arena, and an outdoor riding ring. Stephanie and Cheryl provide horsemanship classes allowing students gain knowledge in all areas of the horse including horse anatomy, first aid, stable management, nutrition, safety, breed knowledge, as well as much more.
